Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

We are looking for a talented Mid Level Project Manager to join our small but busy Project Coordination team who is responsible for the overall coordination of the Olympic and Paralympic project throughout the entire Games lifecycle.


To support the Games Services Department in the following activities:


· Monitor the progress of activities contained in the Milano Cortina 2026 Master Schedule and managing the monitoring tools identified by the IOC and Milano Cortina 2026 on Smartsheet.

· Manage the Issue Tracker tool supporting the Direction of the area in monitoring and managing all the issues.

· Prepare Dashboard and Reporting (for IOC, Vertical FA Meeting etc) to highlight the state of progress and detect any delays in achieving the milestones and actions.

· Prepare high- quality slide decks and/or presentations in support of the other colleagues of the Planning and Coordination (PNC) and the Games Services Department.

· Support in arranging meetings with the IOC/IPC and with other Milano Cortina 2026 Functions when needed.

· Support in collecting and revising all the documents that will be part of the Integrated Planning Process and Readiness Process.

· Support Information, Knowledge and Games in collecting documents or the FA for the Games Knowledge Function.

· If necessary, provide support in developing detailed sub-schedules to ensure the timely achievement of the specific milestones.

· Constantly liaise with the other Project Managers of Planning And Coordination , in order to ensure an appropriate flow of information and to align all the Functions involved in delivering a specific project/activity.

· Act as Games Operation Point of Contact for delivery of the operational readiness activities.

Requirements

-Degree in economics, business administration or related disciplines;

-Fluent in spoken and written English;

-Strong project management skills, possibly with a track record of managing and assessing planning applications for major or complex development projects;

-Preferable experience in previous editions of the Olympic/Paralympic Games and/or other past major events;

-Preferable knowledge of specific constraints;

-Good knowledge of the specific Olympic and Paralympic set of documents (Olympic Charter, Operational requirements, Functional areas’ Guides, etc.) or strong learning attitude to quickly familiarize with them;

-Able to use own initiative and carry out activities with minimal supervision from senior managers;

-High quality project and time management skills;

-Ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary working environment;

-Good communication skills and ability to provide clear, succinct, and well-argued presentations - formally and informally;

-Ability to identify problems/issues, seek pertinent information, evaluate data, and develop appropriate solutions quickly and thoroughly;

-Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills able to work under pressure and remain focused to follow instructions in unpredictable situations.

-Capacity to ensure both an ‘holistic view’ and attention to details;

-Experience in other project management applications is a plus;

-Eclectic interest in sport and Olympic movement with learning attitude to specific IOC and Olympic Movement organization and guidelines;

-Computer skills: Powerpoint, Excel, Smartsheet (nice to have).
