Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

The IBC Coordinator has the key role to support the preparations and delivery of all facilities and services for OBS and broadcasters at the International Broadcast Centre (IBC).



Main Challenges:

  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and maintain a high level of professional performance in highly stressful situations.
  • Ability to liaise with different stakeholders in simultaneous.
  • Ability to coordinate and balance requests and needs of stakeholders.
  • Ability to positively react to last minute changes and / or request.
  • Assist the MMC Manager in the overall planning of the IBC and with the internal coordination with all relevant departments of MC26.
  • Support the MMC Manager in the:
  • Planning, definition and delivery of IBC’s facilities and services in close collaboration with OBS, including work areas, catering facilities, service providers, etc.
  • Planning of Technology and FFE service levels for IBC’s common areas.
  • Participation in venue team meetings and visits.
  • Contribution to the general development of MC26’s media operations duties – procedures, guidelines, checklists and support.
  • Reporting to the MMC Manager.
  • Assist the MMC Manager in all his/her activities.

Network of interactions:

The IBC Coordinator will liaise with the internal FAs of the OCOG and OBS Construction and Planning Team.

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Comprehensive knowledge of international sports media landscape.
  • Clear understanding of the needs of the media and knowledge of their working patterns.
  • Pro-active approach and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Experience

  • Experience in detailed planning, implementation and delivery of media operations at international sport events, preferably in previous Olympic Games.
  • Experience in project management including working with and coordinating suppliers.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Driving License

Foreign Languages

  • Excellent language skills in English, knowledge of Italian is an advantage

IT Proficiency

  • IT-experienced, knowledge of usual office software and Internet

Previous Experiences

  • Experience in previous Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committees or multi-sport events is an advantage.
