Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

We are looking for a Main Media Centre Manager.

The Main Media Centre Manager has the key role in leading the preparations and delivery of services and conditions for all media (broadcasters, photographers, and written press) at the Main Media Centre which is the combination of Main Press Centre MPC and the International Broadcast Centre IBC.


-Overall planning of the MMC and internal coordination with all relevant departments of MC26.

-Coordination of the planning and set-up of facilities and services for media in the MMC, both for broadcasters and written press/photographers, including work areas, catering facilities, service providers, etc.

-Coordination of the planning of Technology and FFE service levels for MMC’s common areas.

-Planning, definition and delivery of IBC’s facilities and services in close collaboration with OBS.

-Coordination of the delivery of orders for different stakeholders.

-Participation in venue team meetings and visits.

-Contribution to the general development of MC26’s media operations duties – procedures, guidelines, checklists and support.

-Reporting to the Head of Broadcast Services.

Requirements

  • Experience in detailed planning, implementing and operating media operations at international sports, preferably in previous Olympic Games.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Pro-active approach and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Knows how newspapers/television/websites are structured, how they approach work.
  • Profound experience in event management, including working with and coordinating suppliers.
  • Able to adapt to different culture.
  • Capability of managing projects and deliver on time.
  • Management of different suppliers’ needs.
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex situations and suggest/take appropriate decisions and measures.
  • Good coordinator with common sense and able to make priorities.
  • Excellent language skills in English, knowledge of one or several other Olympic movement official languages is an advantage
  • IT-experienced, knowledge of usual office software and Internet
