Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

The Main Press Centre Coordinator works closely with the Main Press Centre Manager to ensure the seamless planning, delivery and execution of all facilities and services for Press Operations clients (written press, photographers and non-rights holders broadcasters) at the Main Press Centre (MPC).

The MPC is part of a wider complex, the Main Media Centre, that also includes the International Broadcast Centre (IBC).


  • Collaborate with the MPC Manager in the operational planning of the MPC and internal coordination with all relevant departments of MC26
  • Assist in the coordination of the planning and set-up of all facilities and services for Press Operations stakeholders in the MPC, including work areas, private office spaces, catering facilities, service providers, etc
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of technology and FFE services for MPC, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with press operations stakeholders
  • Participate in venue team meetings and visits
  • Coordinate the delivery of orders for different stakeholders
  • Contribute to the general development of MC26’s media operations duties – procedures, guidelines, checklists and support
  • Support the Press team in delivering specific training sessions to Games Time staff and volunteers
  • Collaborate with MPC Manager to ensure seamless operations of the MPC during Games Time

Requirements

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills, capacity to manage multiple tasks and activities and deliver according to deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex situations and suggest/take appropriate decisions and measures.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to build and maintain working relationships with other departments
  • Excellent language skills in English, knowledge of one or several other Olympic movement official languages is an advantage

Experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of international sports media landscape.
  • Clear understanding of the needs of written press and photographers and knowledge of their activities and work approach both before and during Games Time.
  • Experience in detailed planning, implementation and delivery of media operations at international sport events, preferably in previous Olympic Games.
  • Experience in event management, including working with and coordinating suppliers.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in previous Olympic Organizing Committees or multi-sport events

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Driving License
